My Bio - Kelly
The last eight and a half years, I have been fortunate to be able to work with a great photographer in Alabama. On November 25, 2005, I was engaged to be married. My fiance was the youth and music minister at Enon Baptist Church, so I had to turn in my notice at the studio.
Chris, my wonderful husband, and I set the date of our wedding for January 6, 2007. Chris started teaching at Franklinton High School and the Jr High School as the Choral director on August 2006. So you know that didn't add any pressure to the wedding planning. Planning a wedding when you are four hours apart is really fun and then add a new teacher of teenagers to that. Lets just say I am glad the wedding is over but the wedding turned out beautiful and everything is going great.
With that being said, I had to decide what line of work I wanted to do in Franklinton, LA. I hated to let my experience of the studio go to waste. So with the encouragement of my husband, I decided to stay in the photography line of work.
I asked my sister if she wanted to help, cause two brains are better than one you know, and she happily agreed. So for the last several months, we have been planning and researching the area of Franklinton and New Orleans, to see what type of photography needs we could meet. As of February 1, Captured Portrait Designs was opened. We are specializing in weddings and outdoor appointments. We invite you to give us a call and let us be the story tellers of your events.

My Bio - Shannon
Life is really like a box of chocolates- you truly don't know what the possibilities
are until they smack you in the face!
My family and I have lived in the city of New Orleans for five years (with the exception of a six-month exile courtesy of hurricane katrina), and it has definitely been an interesting season of life.
As a labor and delivery nurse of nine years, I am an active participant in the most precious and intimate moments of others and witness miracles everyday. So, when my sister approached me about assisting her in photography, I accepted, with eagerness, the opportunity to "capture" those moments for others to cherish. I'm so proud of my sister for stepping out there and being so entreprenurial, and what better person with which to spend my workday!
My husband, Charlie, a local pastor, and my two beautiful daughters, Michaela and Moriah, have been such willing participants to help and support us in whatever way possible (usually by modeling for the website-lol). I truly thank them for their love and thank God for blessing me so richly.
